The desire to get away from the frenetic pace of city life is opening up new windows of growth for real estate in the hills. The hustle and bustle of city life can take a toll on even the most resilient of us. With increasing stress levels and a fast-paced lifestyle, many people are seeking a respite from the daily grind.
My family and I are extremely fond of taking trips and vacations together. We’re always so restless and eager to leave our homes every chance we get—to eat out, staycation in hotels, or fly somewhere new.

One of my close friends recently invested in flats in Solan (Chester Hills) as a holiday/vacation home and was boasting about how majestic the property was.
So, this is a story from last August when my friend gladly invited me and my family to join him and his entire family for a long weekend getaway to the picturesque Kasauli Hills and stay in his newly bought home. The anticipation to leave the monotony of corporate life and relax for a couple of days was real. The days in that week felt never ending but finally, the weekend arrived.

Without any delay we packed our bags and left for a long road trip in our respective cars. I was elated to see the joy on my 13 year old son’s face while he enjoyed the splendid views of the rolling hills but little did he know that this was just the beginning. After a 5 hour long trip, we finally reached the destination and the place was beyond stunning. There was a mountain charm that you wouldn’t find in the cities, immaculate views, birds perched on top of trees, unseen flora blooming everywhere.

The mesmerizing interiors of Chester Hills added a lovely contrast between the natural scapes and modern facilities. When you go on vacations anywhere away from big cities, the dilemma of getting all contemporary amenities comes no matter what but surprisingly that wasn’t the case there.

We retired to the alluring rooms to catch up on some rest after the trip, whereas our jittery kids immediately jumped in the Swimming Pool. The art of having a serene state of mind reached newer peaks with the stunning vistas of the nearby hills from our bedroom windows. After a relaxing nap, our stomachs started growling, so we headed to the Multi-Cuisine Dining Area where we satisfied our cravings with scrumptious food and the kids were definitely hungry after their leisurely time at the Pool. After the appetizing meal, we all went for a walk to tour the property and I was amazed to see how well-maintained and thoughtfully planned everything was to add to the natural beauty of the surrounding areas.

For the next couple of days we got plenty of time to explore the nearby regions, engaging in adventurous activities like hiking, mountain biking and other fun outdoor activities that makes living in the mountains so fun. Apart from going out there were many activities in the property like the Card and Game Room, where the kids had a great time spending their time indulging in amusing activities. The Gold-Class Movie Theatre was an apt place to entertain us movie fanatics.

There was something truly wonderful about waking up in the crisp mountain air and going to sleep under such a large and quiet sky, and there were often new things to see—new animal visitors, new wildflowers in bloom that you’ve never noticed before.

From forested slopes to desert peaks, if you’re living in the mountains, you’re living in a place of idyllic beauty. Plants and animals live much more freely on mountains, where populations are less dense and there are considerably fewer buildings.

With growing popularity of real estate as an investment, these destinations also offer fantastic investment opportunities as people desire to break free from the fast-paced life in the cities and demand for properties in hill destinations is growing.
This weekend getaway opened my eyes to newer possibilities and I am considering investing in Chester Hills to have a vacation home for my family or maybe a retirement home. The possibilities at Chester are endless. This was my Chester Hills story. What’s yours?
